Consolidated Credit Supports First-Time Homebuyers at Tamarac’s Purchase Assistance Information Session

Fort Lauderdale, FL – March 11, 2025 – Consolidated Credit, a nationally recognized financial education and counseling organization and HUD-approved housing counseling agency, proudly participated in the City of Tamarac’s 2025 First-Time Homebuyer Purchase Assistance Information Session. The event, held to empower aspiring homeowners, provided critical resources and guidance for residents looking to achieve the dream of homeownership.

Designed to expand access to affordable housing, the session showcased how eligible Tamarac residents can receive up to $85,000 in down payment and/or closing cost assistance toward the purchase of their first home. Consolidated Credit played a key role in helping attendees understand the financial preparation required to take advantage of this opportunity.

Sandra Tobon, Consolidated Credit’s Director of Housing Counseling and Community Outreach, shared valuable insights on the free homebuyer education workshops, one-on-one housing counseling, and financial readiness programs the organization offers. These services are aimed at equipping first-time buyers with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to successfully navigate the homebuying process and become mortgage-ready.

“We’re honored to collaborate with the City of Tamarac in supporting residents on their path to homeownership,” said Tobon. “Buying a home is one of the most significant financial decisions people make, and our goal is to ensure they are informed, empowered, and financially prepared every step of the way.”
